While operating systems and file systems are developing towards better usage of SSDs (solid state disks) it still helps to apply a few tunings to a Linux setup:
1. Append this to the kernel parameters:
Dependend on your system possible files to do that are
Usually you need to call
2. mount filesystems on SSDs with the parameters
/etc/fstab is the place to do that.
